Life Lesson #3: Not everyone is going to like you.
Throughout my life I have always wanted to be liked – by friends, by teammates, by co-workers, by guests, by strangers, etc. I just wanted to be accepted and feel as though I mattered.
What I’ve discovered in this world is that there are just some people that just won’t like you, for whatever reason – no matter what you say, what you do, or who you are. Don’t waste any more time and energy on those people – they will find others to be with.
Use that “saved” time and energy to focus on the people that choose to have you in their life – the ones that will support, love, inspire, and challenge you to continue to bring your gifts and talents to this world. They are the ones that truly deserve your time and energy.
