Life Lesson #4 of my first 40 years: Just be you.
Life Lesson #4: Just be you.
There has been almost 80 billion people that have now walked this earth and never has there been another you. Nor will there ever be another you – with your talents, abilities, heart, uniqueness, and gifts – how awesome is that? For the longest time I didn’t realize the amazing opportunity I was blessed with – life.
With that life comes responsibility to just be you. Not something someone else told you to be, or what you think others want you to be, but just be you. You are doing the world a disservice by not being you. Choose to bring your very best and share your talents every day – I guarantee you that the world will reward you in return for your uniqueness.
To be honest, the times I’ve struggled in life are the times I wasn’t being myself. As soon as I recommitted to being me – truly and authentically me – the impact on those around me was incredible. Yet the biggest and most important impact was on me – my self-esteem, confidence, pride and happiness – because I believe you can’t be of service to others until you take care of yourself. Everyone wins when you choose to just be you.
