How to Grow and Improve Your Life
Success comes to those that continue to invest into themselves, yet if you don’t have a plan you may not be able to achieve the levels of success you deserve to achieve. Following this plan will allow you to grow and develop into a success – personally and professionally.
The starting point is to have a vision/goal for what is it you desire to achieve. What will you focus on becoming an Expert in? Once you have decided that, then it is time to follow the R & D Framework of Success.
RESEARCH: Do your homework. In order to be the best, you must study and learn from the best. Do what they are doing, learn what is working, what is not working, and how you may do things differently to continue to build on their success and take it to the next level. You must continuously be learning and researching in order to stay in the forefront of knowledge.
ROLE MODEL: Having a role model is key to your development. Identify people that have had success in your area of vision/goals and study every aspect of their success. Success leaves clues, so do what they have done and look to advance things even further as you gain your own experience.
REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE: You must get out there and take action. Put the time, energy, and resources into actually doing or working towards your vision/goals. The real world experience will provide valuable lessons and knowledge that can only be learned through taking action.
REVIEWS WITH MENTORS: Having mentors in your life is critical to your continued development. Seek out their knowledge, insights, and experiences and approach them with humility and the desire to learn and they will provide you with incredible value. Be grateful and earn their respect by using their feedback to move your life forward personally and professionally.
RELATIONSHIPS WITH YOUR NETWORK: Being connected to others is another key to the Personal R & D journey. Building relationships that are win/win will provide you valuable partners in your journey to success. Your level of success many times is based off of the value and quality of your network – invest time, energy, and resources into building a strong network of like-minded people and professionals.
REFLECTION THROUGHOUT: Continued reflection and thinking must be a key component of your journey. Throughout your process of growth continue to reflect on your progress, relationships, and success. Investing time into reflection will help deepen your learning and growth and help you go to the next level.
