Life Lesson #20 of my first 40 years: Declutter from time to time.
Life Lesson #20: Declutter from time to time.
Living in the busy world we live in, it is easy for things to pile up on us – work, emails, belongings, laundry, clothes, stuff in the garage, etc.
One of the greatest stress reducers known to us human beings is to declutter. Let go of the stuff you no longer need moving forward. I used to be as guilty as anyone holding onto things thinking that “someday” I will need that – I am here to let you know that “someday” rarely arrives!
Organize a closet. Clean out the garage. Donate old clothes, toys, and furniture to Goodwill or other organization. Have a garage/yard sale. Recycle what you can. Throw stuff away. Give clothes, toys, and furniture to family and friends that will use them. Do anything you can to reduce the “stuff” you have around you.
I have been able to verify the research that states – the more you declutter, the more peaceful, organized, and less stressed you become. That my friends will trickle over into every aspect of your life. Behold the power of Decluttering!
