Life Lesson #21 of my first 40 years: Appreciate and be grateful for what you have.
Life Lesson #21: Appreciate and be grateful for what you have.
So many people around the world don’t have what you have – the people, the opportunity, the challenges, the options, etc. – please don’t take that for granted.
Many times people don’t realize what they have until it’s gone – don’t let that be you. Be grateful for the people in your life – some teaching you how to be and others teaching you how not to be. Be grateful for the many things all around you that have been a part of your journey – many of which that you haven’t probably been paying attention to.
Be more present and pay attention to the people and the things all around that are assisting you in becoming what you are becoming. Show them appreciation more – by telling them, writing a note, visiting with them, etc. – by doing so, it will not only help make them feel better, but it will also have a positive impact on you.
Our world many times has us focusing on what’s wrong or what’s missing – I strongly encourage you to focus on what is right and the options you have right in front of you. The more you do it, the more it will become a habit of you appreciating and being grateful for this wonderful thing called life.
