Life Lesson #36 of my first 40 years: Your Comfort Zone = Your Success Zone
Life Lesson #36: Your Comfort Zone = Your Success Zone.
Your level of success in life is directly related to your ability to be open and embrace being uncomfortable. Growth doesn’t happen anywhere else – it is always on the others side of the comfort zone.
Growing up and early in my career I was so scared to make a mistake that I was stressed out beyond belief – and until I was taught this lesson – I had wasted so much time and energy on wanting to be comfortable.
Being comfortable doesn’t create rewarding relationships.
Being comfortable doesn’t create new opportunities.
Being comfortable doesn’t kick start your energy and creativity.
Being comfortable doesn’t make you stand out in this “sea of sameness” in our world.
Take risks, push the envelope, raise your standards – in every aspect of your life – and keep stretching your comfort zone. As you keep stretching your comfort zone – you will find your success in all of those areas increasing.
No one has ever created nor maintained the highest levels of success and happiness by living in their comfort zone.
If you still want to be comfortable – just become comfortable with being uncomfortable. 🙂
