The Dream Manager by Matthew Kelly
WOW! I HIGHLY recommend this book, not only because it helped clarify my personal dreams, but because it can have such a tremendous impact on your life – personally and professionally. It is a quick read, yet the lessons you can take away from it are profound. I have no doubt that when this program is implemented into more and more families, schools, churches, businesses, etc., that this world will be a much better place because we will have many more passionate and inspired people fully living….versus just going through the motions with no energy, nor desires to make an impact on this world.
3 of the main lessons I have taken from the book are:
1. We all have dreams. We just have to give ourselves permssion to share those dreams – no matter the size of them – and put a plan in place to make it happen. Dream big, create the plan, and surround yourself with people that your support you in achieving those dreams.
2. We all need support and people to help us achieve our dreams. “No man is an island.” We must be open to having help at times to achieve our well-deserved dreams. Have the humility and willingness to open yourself up to get the support you need to achieve the dreams you would never be able to without them.
3. Keeping our dreams top of mind is key. Create dream boards, dream books, and dream lists to have all around you to remind you of your goals, hopes and dreams. Take the time to review them regularly, as they will remind and inspire you to stay true to the actions necessary right now in order to have the dreams later.
Dreams are what fuel all of us to be more, have more, and to do more. Take the time to implement what you find in this book and make it a regular practice to “pass it on” to the next generation – we must get back to being a nation/a people of dreams and then doing what it takes to make it happen.
Don’t hesitate on this one my friends – get this book into your hands ASAP and begin the journey!
